Using the COE Student Shop for prototypes

Students who have registered to participate in the 2010 Innovation Days competition may use the College of Engineering Student Shop to build a prototype after they have completed the certification and training process outlined on the shop web site:

coestudentshop.engr.wisc.edu

A permit is required. Please read through the “Information on Permits,” which can be found under the “Policies” tab.

The shop is open from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Fridays. Staff are available to assist you with your projects during open shop hours.

Please plan accordingly as the student shop can be very busy during the academic year. You must come prepared with a well thought out and feasible design and plan ahead! Don't expect to use the shop one week prior to the competition and hope that the staff can help you build it.

Shop time will be free for Innovation Days students; however, you may be required to pay for any shop materials that you do not bring in yourself.
